Every Chinese New Year Eve, China is terrorised by Nian, an indestructible monster with a body of a bull, head of lion, and horn of a unicorn. When night falls, he would hunt in nearby cities or villages, and eat 200 people. Hunger satisfied, it would move to another city to sleep till next year.
